Class Information


AUTUMN: Crime and punishment

In this unit, the children learn about crime and punishment from the Anglo-Saxon Britain through to present day.



SPRING: Roman Britain

In this unit, the children learn about the invasion of Britain by the Romans and it's impacts on life in Britain.


SUMMER: Anglo-Saxon Britain

In this unit, the children learn about settlement in Britain by the Anglo-Saxons and the Scots; and the story of Christianity in Britain.



Please ensure that your child's PE kit is in school all week to prepare them for any lesson.

DAYS: Thursday and Friday

INDOOR KIT: plain white T-shirt, black/navy shorts, black pumps

OUTDOOR KIT: plain white T-shirt, black/navy shorts, black pumps/trainers


Home Reading/Accelerated Reader

Reading record books need to be returned to school every Monday. The child must read at home for at least 20 to 30 mins, 3 times a week, although this is only a minimum requirement. Please encourage your child to read every day. The reading record book must be signed at least 3 times a week by a parent/carer. After finishing a book, your child must complete a AR quiz. They can then change their book.


Home Learning

Home learning is to discuss and record ideas for the week's 'Sticky Question';

to learn spellings and complete 10 Garage games on TTRS. It is all given every Tuesday or Wednesday in home learning books. It must be completed

                          and returned to school by the following Monday so that it can be checked.

These times tables must be learned each half term.

Autumn 1 - multiply & divide by 6

Autumn 2 - multiply & divide by 9 & 11

Spring 1 - multiply & divide by 7

Spring 2 - multiply & divide by 12

Summer 1 - consolidation of all times tables up to 12 x 12

Summer 2 - number bonds to 100






Please make sure your child’s uniform, PE kit and coat is clearly labelled.

Jewellery is not allowed in school except for simple stud earrings.


Trips and Treats

Please pay your £10 Trips and Treats money for each term at the School Office.
