Class information
PE - Our PE days are Wednesdays and every other Tuesday, but please have your PE kit in school every day in case we have an extra chance to do PE.
Home Reading – Remember the expectation is that children should be reading as much as possible but the minimum is 40 minutes. For each time children read (after having read for 40 minutes) they will receive a raffle ticket and will be entered into the Story Wood Reading Raffle which is drawn every Monday in Celebration Assembly. The more children read, the more tickets they will receive and the more chance they have of winning! So please read at home with your child as often as possible, let them read by themselves or to a sibling and make a note in their planner and sign it! Please bring it in on Mondays.
Home Learning – Home-learning is always given out every Wednesday. This is to ensure children have the time to look and ask for help if needed before the hand-in date. It must be returned by the following Monday so that it can be marked and sent back to you. Please look after these as they will be used all year.
TTRS - log on to Times Tables Rock Stars and complete 10 garage games a week!
Uniform – Please make sure your child’s uniform, PE kit and coat is clearly labelled. Jewellery is not allowed in school except for simple stud earrings which must be covered over with a plaster or removed during PE.
