Pupil Premium Indicative Funding 2017/18
All schools receive a Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) that aims to raise the achievement of pupils who may be disadvantaged. £1,320 is given for any child who has been eligible for free school meals during the last six years. Schools also receive £1,900 for pupils who are looked after by the local authority or who are in care for adoption, guardianship and two other ‘orders.’
At Story Wood School, we aim to give all pupils the best start in life. We work hard to support pupils across school, taking into account their individual needs so that they can be proud of their achievements, close the gap in attainment and succeed by reaching their full potential.
Our total indicative allocation this academic year is £145,200– 110 pupils. This is approximately 53% of pupils. There is also an additional indicative funding of approximately £5,088 for pupil premium pupils attending our Early Years Unit.
We would encourage any eligible parents/carers to apply for free school meals as it helps us to fund additional support for individual learners. This can be in the form of learning interventions, pastoral support and it is used to provide extra-curricular and new opportunities for the children. If you are unsure about your eligibility please contact school for further information.
