School Meals

School Meals from September 2023

When the children return on Wednesday 6th September 2023 following the summer holiday break, Dolce will no longer be the catering providers of the school meals at Story Wood School.

We are very excited to announce we are taking the meal provision in-house, making the most of our fantastic catering staff.  Bringing the school catering in-house has many benefits including having a varied menu which creates a better lunchtime experience for children.

Many parents already had the privilege of sampling the meals at the recent parents' afternoon and feedback has been extremely positive.

The price of a school meal will remain at £2.55 a day or £12.75 per week for children in Year 3 to Year 6. Payment must be made on Parent Pay in advance.

As School Grid was linked to the Dolce catering contract, you are no longer able to select the meal you would like your child to have.  Our dedicated catering staff will endeavour to make sure all children have a selection of meals to choose from on a daily basis.  However, we would like to encourage you to discuss with your child the menu so they have an idea of what they would like to eat when they are served.

If you have any questions please contact a member of the school office by telephone 0121 464 3863 or email: enquiry@storywood.bham.sch.uk.

Thank you
