Uniform

Wearing school uniform is an important part of life at Story Wood School & Children's centre.

We believe it helps to strengthen the sense of identity and being part of a school community. We also think wearing school uniform helps parents - it means that there isn't peer pressure from children to wear the latest expensive fashions!

Our school uniform is quite simple and most can be bought easily from uniform shops or local supermarkets.

The only item of clothing we insist that is purchased through school is the purple sweatshirt or cardigan which features our school logo. We especially like children to wear this when they are out on school trips or representing the school in some way.

Additionally, Year 6 pupils wear a Story Wood school tie and so also need to wear a collared shirt.

We do ask that parents ensure that school uniform is clearly labelled with the child's name and class so that if it is lost we can return it quickly.

The school uniform is as follows:

Boys
Grey trousers (NOT black)
White polo shirt - with or without school logo (Y6 pupils wear a white collared shirt with a Story Wood tie)
Story School purple sweatshirt (round neck or V-neck)
Black school shoes

Girls

White polo shirt - with or without school logo (Y6 pupils wear a white collared shirt with a Story Wood tie)
Story School purple sweatshirt (round neck or V-neck) or cardigan
Yellow gingham summer dress
Black school shoes (No shoes with heels or open toe sandals)

PE Kit
