We had a badminton tournament during our PE lesson and showed great sportsmanship.

We slept on the mess deck of HMS Belfast overnight. Look at our bunk beds!
We got to ride the tube as part of our journey across London.
Nobody wanted to leave HMS Belfast when the morning came.
However, we had a great experience exploring the Imperial War Museum.

We travelled to London on the train after waking up very early in the morning.
When we arrived, we headed to Churchill War Rooms.
In our groups, we went sightseeing to many famous London landmarks!
We saw Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Shard & the Tower of London.
On board HMS Belfast, we took part in a flag making workshop & visited the flag deck.

We attended prayer space hosted by Urban Devotion Birmingham.

We created classification keys to classify microorganisms.

We have been using the scale on a map to work out distances between European countries,

We showed excellent team work and focus while prepping for our debates.
We also showed improved confidence while making our speeches.

We played a game while learning about the threats posed to the biodiversity of our planet.

We looked at the vocabulary Philip Gross had used in his poem ‘Aleppo Cat’.

We used wax resist, water colours and pencils to create art in the style of Henry Moore.

We shared books with Weil (Y2) in the library.
We enjoyed guessing the teachers and books in “The Masked Reader”.

We proved that angles in a triangle always add up to 180.
Then we used our knowledge of angles to solve these problems from the Mathsteasers book.

We ran a simulation of evolution, and then recorded our results on a line graph.

Some of the class represented the school in our first debating competition.

We used different sources to learn about evacuation and decided if sources were reliable.

We have drafted formal, persuasive letters in character as Mister Tom.

We made inferences about extracts from Goodnight Mister Tom.

This week we experimented with water colours, acrylic paint, ink and felt tip pens.

We experimented using a range of dry media as Henry Moore used different media in his art.

Some of our mathematicians used their skills of finding percentages to solve this problem.

We researched key events from WW2 and ordered these on a timeline.
