Weekly Spelling Practise

Every week, children will be introduced to a new spelling list that follows the age related spelling rules, that are stated in the National Curriculum. They will explore and practise applying the new words with their class teacher in their Friday SPaG lesson. Children will also be tested weekly on the spellings they were issued the previous week.
The new spelling list will also be uploaded weekly on Spelling Shed. Children need to complete games/activities that have been assigned by the teacher and can also practice previous words through games that will be accessible to them through the subscription. This is an engaging way to practise and apply spelling skills. It will also help children to memorise the spellings and the spelling patterns, which they will be expected to apply in their writing. Children's activity on Spelling Shed will be monitored weekly.
