PSHE at Story Wood School: Kapow Curriculum

At Story Wood School, we are committed to helping children understand who they are, how they relate to others, and how to navigate the complexities of the modern world. To achieve this, we use the Kapow PSHE curriculum, which offers a dynamic and engaging approach to Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education.

Kapow is structured around a series of engaging topics, with each unit focusing on a different aspect of personal development, emotional literacy, and social skills. The curriculum helps children explore important issues like self-esteem, mental health, relationships, online safety, and resilience. These lessons are designed to be relevant and responsive to the challenges children face today, ensuring they are equipped to thrive in an ever-changing world.

For further details about what is covered in each PSHE unit, and how we are supporting our students’ development, please refer to the resources provided by Kapow. Should you have any questions or wish to receive a paper copy of the information, feel free to contact a member of our Leadership Team.
