Summer Term

05.05.2026-Fine Motor Tuesday was full of busy hands and great concentration! 🐛✨ This week, all our activities were inspired by the story Superworm. The children enjoyed a range of hands-on experiences to develop their fine motor skills, including printing with different tools, threading, and exploring materials through play. We saw lots of careful gripping, pressing, twisting, and creating as the children strengthened their finger muscles while bringing parts of the story to life. Fantastic focus and creativity all around—well done, everyone!

27.04.2026-This week in Nursery, the children took part in our very first Fine Motor Monday! Working in small groups, they explored a variety of fun and engaging activities set up around the classroom. These hands-on experiences helped to develop their fine motor skills, including hand strength, coordination, and control. The children showed great enthusiasm as they moved between activities, building confidence while learning through play.

22.04.2026- Following on from our mini beast week, we took part in a bug hunt and loved looking at the leaf beetle

20.04.2026-This week in EYFS we have been exploring the wonderful world of mini beasts! The children enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities, including creating their own insects, investigating our sensory bug tray, and completing a phonics bug hunt to spot sounds in a fun and engaging way. We also continued to develop our fine motor skills and practised our handwriting with great focus and care.

13.04.2026- This week our learning was inspired by the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar by The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children loved retelling the story, making their own caterpillars, and exploring life cycles.
