Spring Term

9.03.2026 This week we have been looking at the story of Jack and the beanstalk we have been using our fine motor skills throughout this week’s activities. We have also been thinking about height and being able to order our beanstalks from tallest to shortest.

5.3.26 We loved dressing up for world book day.

4.3.26 The Evil Peas stole our phonics cards, we found them all and put them back the freezer where they belong!

2.3.26 This week we are looking at the story of Supertato. This morning the children have made their own Supertatoes and used tweezers to pick up lots of evil peas.

25.2.26 This week we have been looking at how Chinese New Year is celebrated. We listened to and retold the story of The Great Race, made Chinese lanterns, danced to traditional music and drew our wishes to make our wishing tree.

9.2.26 We celebrated Valentine’s Day in class by thinking about the people that we love and who are special to us. We had fun in the sensory tuff spot, matched numeral to quantity to make hearts and developed our scissor control.

5.2.26 This week we have been looking at one of our Author Focus books -Whatever Next. The children have loved exploring different activities linked to the story including making rockets with shapes and loose parts.

15.1.26 This week we are learning about the number 3 so we have had a Goldilocks and the 3 bears week. We have had porridge play, sorting bears by size, Goldilocks small world and role play.

6.1.26 We enjoyed exploring the snow - making snow angels and creating shapes and letters in the snow using our fine and gross motor skills.
